Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Communications Specialist to expand the visibility of its Digital Technology & Distribution leadership initiatives and external engagement opportunities.

You will manage intake, approvals, and tracking, and maintain a messaging hub aligned with the Enterprise Narrative. Work with Public Affairs, Communications Managers, Legal, Brand and stakeholders to ensure readiness for external engagements, monitor opportunities, and support executive visibility calendars

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in communications, PR, marketing or a related field.
• Experience coordinating complex review and approval processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience researching industry events, thought leadership opportunities, awards programs or external engagement activities.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and professional social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external engagement requests across Cat Digital and Cat Technology.
• Manage timelines, stakeholder reviews and approval workflows across multiple functions.
• Partner with Communications Managers, Public Affairs, Legal, Brand and business stakeholders to ensure readiness for external engagements.
• Maintain documentation and tracking related to external participation, approvals and deliverables.
• Support reporting and measurement activities to assess impact of executive visibility efforts.
• Own the process from initial submission to execution for inbound requests.
• Create and maintain a messaging library spanning Digital and Technology.
