Job summary

HearingLife in Toledo, OH invites AuD students to join our externship program. You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship from licensed audiologists, and exposure to comprehensive evaluations, fittings, and patient education.

Our externship emphasizes growth, teamwork, and opportunities to transition to full-time roles within HearingLife. You will work with cutting-edge hearing technology and participate in monthly workshops and clinic meetings.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in AuD program.
• Demonstrated interest in clinical audiology and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical evaluations, patient engagement, and education under supervision.
• Assist in daily extern responsibilities: documentation, fittings, and follow-up appointments.
• Order/assist with hearing aid services and earmold impressions as directed by preceptors.
• Participate in clinic meetings and nationwide extern collaboration.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• - Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• - Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.
• - Continuous Growth: Thrive in an environment of learning and development by participating in monthly manufacturer-lead workshops or meet one-on-one with trainers for individualized learning. Daily Extern Responsibilities:

• * Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• * Appointment documentation
• * Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• * Ordering/servicing hearing aids
• * Earmold impressions
• * Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• * Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• * Any task beneficial to your clinic
