Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an engineer for the Exterior Underbody Structure Architecture team. You will develop designs for frames, body mounts, EV battery structures, and related hardware, guiding programs from concept to production with cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes delivering robust architecture solutions, aligning with cost, weight, and quality targets, and working with suppliers and manufacturing to enable successful program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required.
• 5 years of experience in Structures Product Development.
• Experience with early product definition and deciphering deliverables for underbody structures.
• Launch delivery experience on at least one major program.
• CATIA V5 or 3DX or Teamcenter proficiency and strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engineering work products for exterior underbody systems.
• Lead KPI alignment for quality, cost, weight, and performance.
• Define robust underbody design solutions aligned to program targets.
• Conduct FMEA and use reliability methods to drive architecture execution.
• Collaborate across product development, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
