Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an experienced Exterior Trim Engineer to join the Rear Exterior Team of the Exterior Engineering Design Department in the United States.

The role involves designing, developing, and releasing exterior trim parts for Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis North American vehicles. You will lead concepts to mass production, negotiate with suppliers, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field.
• 5+ years in developing exterior trim components.
• Experience with bumpers, fascias, roof racks, spoilers or exterior garnishes.
• Knowledge of US regulations and exterior trim manufacturing.
• Proficient with CAD tools; CATIA V5 preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong time management and leadership skills.
• Valid driver''s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release exterior trim parts for Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis North American-made vehicles.
• Lead development from styling concept to mass production.
• Negotiate with supplier(s), styling, and surrounding part engineers to develop best design(s).
• Develop and release BOM for responsible parts.
• Lead resolution of prototype and pilot-build issues.
• Support domestic and international vehicle launch-related activities.
• Mentor junior engineers in exterior trim component development.
• Create and present technical reports communicating project status and results.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
