Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Design and Release Engineer – Front Lighting to drive the design, development, integration, and release of exterior lighting components from concept to program launch.

You will collaborate with the PDO for styling, coordinate with suppliers on reflectors/optics, integrate assemblies onto BIW, and ensure performance and regulatory compliance across regional markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of exterior lighting plastic product development, tooling, and optics/electronics integration.

Responsibilities

• Design & packaging: collaborate with PDO to develop styling for headlamps, tail lamps, and signal lighting; coordinate with suppliers on internal reflectors/optics, housing, and internals.
• Vehicle integration: package and integrate lighting assemblies onto BIW, front fascia, bumper, grille, and fenders.
• Performance & compliance: ensure lamp output, optics, and safety standards meet regional homologation, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, Program Science, local engineering, and suppliers to manage timelines, weight, and cost objectives.
