Job summary

Walmart in Denton, TX is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT to maintain safe, clean exterior operations. The role focuses on safety, environmental compliance, equipment management, seasonal maintenance, and coordinating repairs.

You will lead third-party providers, manage sourcing and budgeting, and work with management to implement upgrades that reduce costs while upholding Walmart standards and values.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include age 21+, valid driver's license, clean driving record, successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification, ability to read/speak English, and 2 years of landscaping/gardening experience.
• Proven ability to operate heavy machinery safely and maintain exterior facilities, plus budgeting and cost control responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Coordinate purchases of parts, equipment, and supplies while controlling costs and submitting warranty claims.
• Lead and develop third-party providers, fostering professional growth and ensuring service quality.
• Collaborate with management to implement upgrades and improvements that enhance sustainability and reduce costs.
