Job summary

Fort Valley State University invites applications for the position of Cooperative Extension/SARE Program Assistant. The role supports the Project Investigator and Program Leader in planning, organizing, and delivering educational programs through the Cooperative Extension System in Georgia.

The assistant will help prepare training materials, coordinate workshops and Field Days, manage supplies, schedule meetings, and contribute to reporting on project activities, with work spanning office

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with workshops, training sessions, or outreach programs.
• Knowledge of Sustainable Agriculture topics: crop production systems; soil health and conservation; forestry/ecology management; agricultural technology; pest management; renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule meetings and maintain records.
