Job Title: Extended Term Substitutes : Secretaries

Reports To: Supervisor, or other administrator if needed

Salary Range: $134.00 per diem

Position Summary: The above extended term substitute position is available for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:

• Assist the Transportation Supervisor/Coordinator with the daily administration of the district's transportation program.
• Maintain accurate records of students requiring transportation, including eligibility, addresses, schools, grade levels, and transportation assignments.
• Process transportation requests, changes, transfers, and cancellations.
• Assist with the development, maintenance, and distribution of school bus routes, schedules, stops, and student lists.
• Communicate transportation assignments and changes to parents/guardians, school administrators, transportation contractors, and bus drivers.
• Serve as a point of contact for parents and guardians regarding bus assignments, stops, schedules, delays, and transportation concerns.
• Coordinate with school principals, child study teams, special education staff, registrars, and other district personnel regarding student transportation needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Business Administrator, Transportation Supervisor, or other appropriate administrator.

Technology Skills: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.

Evaluation of Performance: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.

Terms of Employment: Per diem pay
