Children's Day School in San Francisco seeks an experienced Extended Program staff member to supervise students in grades K–8 after school. The role runs Monday–Friday, 2pm–6pm, with opportunities to sub in classrooms as needed.
The position is hourly and non-exempt, offering pay between $25 and $31 per hour depending on education and experience; candidates should have high school diploma and relevant youth leadership experience; strong interpersonal skills valued.

CDS is located on a beautiful, secluded half-acre in the Mission near Dolores Park. Our Extended Day program employs the use of indoor classrooms, environmental ed. kitchen, wood chips area and climbing structure, farm and garden (featuring eleven chickens and two sheep), and a play yard among the largest of independent schools in the city.
We are looking for experienced youth development workers to be available to join our afterschool program team. Reporting to the Extended Program Director, the substitute instructor is responsible for supervising students in grades K – 8 and supporting the operation of the program. Daily schedule and work hours would be Monday through Friday, 2pm to 6pm. There are opportunities to also step in to sub in classrooms based on a flexible on-call basis and staff vacation camps. This is a unique opportunity that would allow instructors to increase their hours in a way that works best for their daily schedules.
