Job summary

Harlandale Independent School District in San Antonio is seeking an Extended Day Youth Instructor for the ACE funded after-school program. The role covers afternoon hours at various campuses, delivering a curriculum that combines academics, recreation, nutrition, arts, technology, and community partnerships.

• Manage student behavior and maintain student confidentiality.
• Coordinate with Extended Day administration regarding extended day special programming.

Position Overview & Primary Purpose:

This position is responsible for delivering daily curriculum to include academic enrichment, recreation,

nutrition, fine arts, technology, sports, college/workforce and community partnerships components in the

Extended Day Programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of after school or youth programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skills in working with diverse groups of students and families
• Experience in working with you in an education, youth group or camp setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have met formal academic assessment, associate’s degree, or two years of study (48 hours) at an institution
• of higher learning*
• Working days, working hours, duty assignment, and job locations are subject to change.
