Job summary

Kids Connection in Foster City, CA seeks caring Extended Day & Camp Instructors to join our team. You will lead engaging activities for elementary‑aged children during after-school programs and summer camps, creating a fun and safe environment.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supervising students, and supporting families and staff. This is a part‑time, non‑exempt position with schedule flexibility across the school year and summer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• College coursework in Education or Child Development is a plus.
• Previous experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting is preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Passion for working with elementary-aged children in a fun, active environment.
• Pediatric CPR certification (or willingness to obtain through Kids Connection) and successful background clearance required.

• Assist with school operations, including lunch supervision, student transportation from nearby schools (when assigned), front office support, and special events.
• Help prepare, organize, and clean activity spaces and materials.

Kids Connection is seeking caring, energetic, and enthusiastic Extended Day & Camp Instructors to join our team! This position creates a safe, engaging, and joyful environment where elementary‑aged children can learn, play, and grow through enriching activities, games, projects, and positive relationships.

Whether during our after‑school Extended Day Program or our exciting Summer Camps, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team.

Schedule:

School Year (September–Early June)

• Extended Day Program: Monday–Friday
• Program hours: 11:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Up to 6‑hour shifts (maximum 25 hours per week)

Summer (Mid‑June–August)

• Monday–Friday
• Program hours: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• 7–8 hour shifts with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break

Applicants must be available for at least two consecutive months during the summer camp season.
