Job summary

Milestone Recovery in Old Orchard Beach, ME, seeks dedicated staff for its Extended Care Program. You will supervise and support residents overnight, performing hourly checks and engaging with clients to promote stability and safety. The role is hourly with a shift from 8:00 p.m.

to 8:00 a.m., including a nightly differential. A High School diploma or GED is required; prior human services or homeless population experience is preferred.

• Prior experience in human services or residential settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and oversight to Extended Care clients during the shift.
• Perform hourly room checks and engage in supportive conversations with clients.
• Assist with light cleaning duties and maintain a safe environment.
• Arrange transportation to emergency services when needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality at all times and attend trainings.

Position Profile

Responsible for the care and well-being of clients who reside at the Extended Care Program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Follow and fully understand all policies and procedures
• Provide support and oversight to Extended Care clients throughout the shift to include engaging in hourly room checks and engaging in supportive conversations when clients are struggling; must have the ability to be awake and alert for all hours of the shift
• Checking the immediate area around main building at least twice nightly
• Responsible for cleaning staff/visitor bathroom including but not limited to changing trash and mopping floors as well as other light cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor
• Arrange transportation to emergency services when needed
• Respect client confidentiality at all times
• Attend required training programs and scheduled staff meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation

Compensation for this hourly position is $20 per hour + applicable shift differentials

Schedule

Overnight shifts are 8:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.

Differentials

Overnight differential $2.50/hour 11pm-7am. Weekend differential additional $2.50/hour.

Qualifications

A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required. Prior experience related to the human services field preferred with minimum of one year experience working in a residential setting. Prior experience with homeless and substance use disorder population highly preferred. Recovery Coach training preferred.
