Mercor partners with a leading AI research lab to build next-generation TTS systems. We are seeking USA-based African American voice actors to contribute high-quality recordings for training and evaluating cutting-edge speech models.

Your recordings will be used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent and will not be sold or reused outside this use case. Prior voice acting is a plus, but not required, with access to a professional recording setup encouraged.

Qualifications

• USA-based voice actor with a natural African American English delivery.
• Clear, natural, and expressive voice.
• Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup.
• Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range.
• Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery.
• Reliable availability over the project duration.
• Your voice may be cloned for the client's CX AI Agent; recordings will not be sold or reused outside this use case.

Responsibilities

• Record high-quality voice samples across diverse scripts (conversational, narrative, instructional).
• Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with strong tone control and pronunciation.
• Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across sessions.
• Follow detailed recording guidelines (environment, microphone setup, file formatting).
• Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required.
