Job summary

Southpoint Honda in Durham, NC is seeking Express Technicians to join a high-volume service team. The position offers hourly pay with bonuses and a clear career pathway with dealership training. Shift is open to closing, with Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 am to 4 pm.

Qualifications

• Experience with express/maintenance preferred.
• Manufacturer experience preferred.
• Customer-focused professional who is self-motivated, competitive and coachable.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed work and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and coordinate with parts department for parts.

What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?

• Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

Qualifications:

• Prior Express/Maintenance Experience Preferred
• Manufacturer experience preferred
