Job summary

McDonald Mazda North in Colorado is seeking a skilled automotive service technician to perform repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a variety of Mazda vehicles. You will work closely with the service advisor, communicate findings to customers, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Dexterity and steady hand are essential.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and use of diagnostic tools are required.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs as listed on repair orders per dealership & manufacturer specs.
• Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, etc.).
• Communicate with Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed services.
• Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs.

Experience & Qualifications Needed

• Valid driver's license and clean drivingrecord

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide anaccurateestimate oftimeneeded for additional repairs
