Typical duties include oil, lube, filter services, tire rotation and balancing, fluid checks, cooling-system flushes, road tests, parts coordination, warranty tagging, and maintaining a clean workspace.
As an Express Service Technician, you’ll help keep customer vehicles safe and running smoothly by completing light maintenance and basic repairs to dealership and factory standards. You’ll work from repair orders, document completed and recommended work, and communicate clearly with the service advisor when timelines or needs change.
Key responsibilities include oil/lube/filter services, tire rotation and balancing, fluid checks and top-offs, cooling system flushes, road tests, parts coordination, warranty part tagging, maintaining a clean vehicle and workspace, and following OSHA and hazardous-waste requirements.
Required qualifications/skills:
You’ll start by checking the day’s repair orders, setting up your bay, and making sure the right supplies and tools are ready. Throughout the day, you’ll coordinate with the parts counter and service advisors, give quick status updates, and keep notes organized so nothing gets missed. Between appointments, you’ll stay on top of cleanliness—your work area, shared tools, and the vehicles in your care. You may also spend time reviewing technical bulletins or attending manufacturer training to build confidence and speed as you grow in the role.
