Job summary

Moritz Kia - Hurst is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to support oil changes and routine maintenance in a fast-paced, customer-driven shop. The role offers a stable, family-owned atmosphere with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong automotive knowledge, diagnostic skills, and the ability to learn new procedures. A high school diploma or GED is required, and ASE/technical training is preferred. Pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASE Certification or technical degree preferred.
• 1 year in a service department or automotive background advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and working properly.
• Isolate systems or components that may have caused problems.
• Drive vehicles for testing and inspect/ refill fluid levels as needed.
• Ensure tires are inflated correctly and fittings are lubricated.
• Install oil filter and discuss oil levels with teammates.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Replace worn parts before breakdowns or damages.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly.
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
• Install a new oil train plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen
