Quick Lube Technician

The Requirements:

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance
• A valid driver’s license and ability to operate manual transmissions
• Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice is desirable
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Capacity to work in seated positions for extended periods while operating controls
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

The Responsibilities:

• Perform multipoint inspections and communicate additional service or repair needs to service advisors
• Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, and rear axle housings
• Check tire pressure, add water to radiators, and replace oil and air filters
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Drain oil from crankcases and refill with oil
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs needed
