Qualifications

• Prior or current schooling in automotive technology is a plus.
• Must have prior experience as a lube tech and be able to perform duties such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire mounting & balancing, air filter replacements, and cabin air filter replacements.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatchers and take vehicles to the stall area.
• Perform routine maintenance efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership standards.
• Conduct complete MPI and 27-point used car inspections with photos and videos to assist advisors in upselling.
• Diagnose causes of entry-level malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized, depending on experience.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts via xTime.
• Tag, save, and turn in parts, especially if under warranty or requested by the customer.
• Immediately advise Service Advisor if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document work, perform quality checks, and road-test vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Keep work area and vehicles clean, and follow safety and housekeeping policies.
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair work.

Qualifications

• Certificate completed or in progress for Automotive Technology preferred.
• At least 1 year of automotive experience as a lube or tire tech required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, write reports, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Customer service, computer, and organizational skills required.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR required.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
