Younger Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles in a fast-paced, team-focused shop. You will participate in ongoing training and work with a skilled group of technicians to ensure quality service. A strong work ethic and the ability to read instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• 1–3 months of relevant automotive experience or training preferred
• Valid Operator Driver’s License required
• Solid skills and a strong work ethic; able to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read/understand written instructions and information
• Able to operate manual transmissions and lift up to 50 pounds
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose vehicles
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
• Provide labor estimates and communicate service requests
• Plan work with the shop foreman
• Monitor repair time and update the Service Advisor
• Maintain dealership policies on vehicle care
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees
• Attend company and factory training and stay current with factory bulletins
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations (hazardous waste disposal)

• Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees
• Attend company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
