Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an entry-level Express Service Technician to begin with lubrication duties and advance through brakes and alignment, supported by mentorship or an apprenticeship where available.

You will learn and progress from trainee to certified technician, with paid manufacturer training and certification reimbursement as you grow your skills and earnings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Interest in automotive service and customer care.
• No prior experience required for entry-level training.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance as outlined on the repair order per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Keep current on factory technical bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

The Express Service Technician performs vehicle maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and builds Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a care-giver for their vehicle safety and reliability.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for this job?

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience as an express/quick lube technician is preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety
• Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
