Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Physician Assistant for Express Care Casual Float in Pittsburgh. This part-time position supports non-acute primary care, with weekend and on-call coverage as needed.

The role focuses on patient history, physical exams, care planning, prescriptions, and education, with collaboration from supervising physicians and an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current PA Physician Assistant License.
• PA-C or board eligible.
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Record patient medical history and physical examination; develop therapeutic care plan and document in medical records.
• Coordinate patient care with patient, family, community health services, and interdisciplinary team; involve supervising physician as needed.
• Provide monitoring and continuity of care with periodic physician evaluations.
• Prepare written prescription orders per the agreement with supervising physicians.
• Educate patients and families on health, illness prevention, medications and treatment instructions.
• Triage patient telephone calls and monitor continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
• May perform other duties related to the specialty.
