Job summary

Generation Auto Group is seeking an Express Automotive Technician at Autoworld Kia in East Meadow, NY. You will perform routine maintenance and light repairs on Kia vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and inspections.

You will participate in Kia manufacturer training and work with a team to ensure services are completed accurately and efficiently, contributing to customer satisfaction and dealership productivity.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive maintenance, repair, dealership, or express-service experience preferred but not required.
• Automotive or technical school training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; New York State Inspector’s License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter and battery replacements, and other routine maintenance and light repairs.
• Complete video multi-point inspections and document vehicle conditions and recommended services.
• Work closely with Service Advisors, Parts, Management, and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently.

As an Express Automotive Technician at Autoworld Kia, part of Generation Auto Group, you will perform routine maintenance and light repairs on Kia vehicles according to manufacturer and dealership standards. We are looking for a dependable, motivated technician who can work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality or safety.You will handle services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, battery services, and other preventative maintenance. You will also perform video multi-point inspections to help identify needed maintenance or repairs and provide customers with a clear overview of their vehicle’s condition.Whether you already have dealership experience or are beginning your automotive career, this position provides hands-on experience, ongoing Kia manufacturer training, and opportunities to advance into a more experienced technician role.Your efficiency, attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to fixing vehicles right the first time directly impact customer satisfaction, shop productivity, and the overall success of our dealership.What You’ll Be DoingExpress Maintenance & Light RepairsPerform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter and battery replacements, and other routine maintenance and light repairs. Work quickly and efficiently while completing services correctly the first time.Video Multi-Point Inspections & DocumentationComplete video multi-point inspections, clearly document vehicle conditions and recommended services, and promptly communicate any maintenance or safety concerns to the Service Advisor.Training & Career DevelopmentComplete required Kia training, learn manufacturer service procedures, and continue developing your skills for future advancement within the service department.Teamwork & Customer SatisfactionWork closely with Service Advisors, Parts, Management, and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently.
