Job summary

Swickard Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac of Anchorage is hiring for an Express Technician to perform oil changes, tire rotations, and quick maintenance in a busy Anchorage service bay. You’ll work under a flat-rate structure, demonstrating speed and accuracy while keeping guests safe and informed about service needs.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of express service experience, a solid basic understanding of maintenance, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive technician, lube tech, or express service experience preferred — candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong aptitude and work ethic are encouraged to apply
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures — oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections
• Physically capable of working on your feet and staying active throughout the shift in Alaska conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated — the express lane depends on consistent output every shift
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform express maintenance services — oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, wiper blade replacements, cabin and engine air filter replacements, and multi-point inspections
• Work efficiently on a flat-rate structure — your speed, accuracy, and throughput directly drive your earnings
• Identify and communicate additional service needs discovered during inspections to service advisors — supporting upsell opportunities and guest safety
• Follow GM express lane procedures and safety standards on every vehicle
• Keep your work area organized and your tools ready — a clean, efficient bay supports a fast-moving express operation
