This is an entry level position where you will work under direct supervision.Position Responsibilities:Responsible for the intake, investigation, valuation, establishment of exposure and settlement of assigned claims within a stipulated monetary authority.Ensures that all assigned claims are concluded promptly, equitably, and economically within the provisions of the policy contract and in accordance with the damages presented.Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses to investigate losses.Timely and accurately reserving exposures.Delivers the Best in Class Customer Service experience to all internal, external, current, and prospective Kemper customers.Position Qualifications:• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.• Proficiency in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite products and web-based applications.• Must obtain and maintain state required licensing, where applicable.• Initiative, sound judgement, and discretion.• Time management skills ensuring deadlines are met for claim resolution.• Analytical skills to evaluate claim information, assess damages, and make informed decisions regarding liability and settlement amounts.• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.• Excellent customer service skills to assist customers with inquiries.Kemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
