Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a seasoned supply chain professional to lead planning, risk assessments, and audits across warehouse and logistics operations. You will drive just-in-time material flow from purchasing to finished goods and coordinate with carriers to optimize routing and distribution.

You will oversee consolidation center activities, ensure accurate ERP/WMS/TMS data, and support knowledge transfer during transitions from third-party operators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified) or High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of supply chain experience.
  • At least 3 years in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
  • 1+ year hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ocean consolidation centers, drayage, or export logistics is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate independently on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Developing production plans, performing risk assessments and/or warehouse audits.
  • Leading projects and initiatives to ensure a just-in-time material flow from purchase to finished products.
  • Providing transportation support services to plants, divisions, branches and DCs regarding operational issues.
  • Working with carrier personnel to meet service requirements and perform routing analysis.
  • Managing daily consolidation center operations including load planning and container execution.
  • Overseeing OSD processing and ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Monitoring site costs, flagging variances, and enforcing spend controls.
  • Owning yard and pool management activities on-site with drayage partners.
  • Maintaining system accuracy across ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
  • Supporting knowledge transfer and onboarding during transition from third-party operators.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost-per-container reduction.
  • Serving as the primary 3M point of contact for site-level operational matters.

  • Monitoring site-level costs, flagging variances, and enforcing pre-approved spend controls.
  • Owning yard and pool management activities on-site in coordination with drayage partners.
  • Maintaining system accuracy across ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
  • Supporting knowledge transfer and onboarding during transition from third-party operators.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on cost-per-container reduction.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in supply chain in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement
  • Three (3) years in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations
  • One (1) years of hands‑on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ocean consolidation centers, drayage, or export logistics is highly preferred
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate independently on-site.
