Job summary

Kraken Kinetics is seeking an experienced U.S. Export Control Manager to lead the company’s export compliance program from its Pinehurst, NC facility.

You will manage classifications, licensing, screening, and deemed export controls while collaborating with Engineering, Sales, Training, and Supply Chain to integrate regulatory requirements into daily operations. The role reports to the Head of Legal and requires 3+ years of EAR/ITAR experience (5+ preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of U.S. export control experience with the EAR, ITAR, and U.S. sanctions required; 5+ years preferred.
• Proven hands-on proficiency across classification, licensing, screening, and technology control activities.

Responsibilities

• Determine export jurisdiction and classification for hardware and technology under ITAR and EAR.
• Identify licensing requirements and manage export licenses and agreements, including TAAs and MLAs.
• Conduct end-use, end-user, destination, and restricted-party screening and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain Technology Control Plans (TCPs) and deemed export controls.
• Lead process improvements and cross-functional advisory support for export compliance.
