Job summary

Cowboy Space Corporation is seeking an Export Control Director to own export compliance across the company. You will build and scale a program from the ground up, working with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams in a fast-moving aerospace environment.

Reporting to the COO/CLO, you will interpret ITAR and EAR regulations, manage licensing, and partner with regulators and external counsel to ensure compliant, rapid execution aligned with company growth and mission.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of export compliance in aerospace or regulated tech.
• Deep ITAR and EAR knowledge.
• Experience with DDTC, BIS, OFAC.
• Licensing and documentation management.
• Ability to translate regulations into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale export compliance program across the company.
• Lead export licensing applications and exemptions.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply chain on regulatory needs.
• Develop and run TCPs and access controls.
• Provide training and awareness on export controls.
