Job summary

PSA BDP, a leader in global trade and logistics, is seeking an Export Compliance Analyst to review export documentation, assist with Schedule B and Export Controls, and support import/export classifications. Based in Philadelphia, you will help ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in export trafficking with freight forwarders or brokers, strong communication and detail orientation, and the ability to learn multiple computer

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree is not required but highly preferred.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of experience handling export trafficking functions with a freight forwarder/broker.
  • Prefer 1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service type environment.
  • CES Certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to learn various computer programs.
  • Entry writer & break bulk experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review export shipment documentation from customers and suppliers to identify and resolve errors and compliance issues.
  • Assist with Schedule B and Export Controls.
  • Assist with the purchase order management process.
  • Conduct file audits.
  • Review ACE data.
  • Assist with monitoring import dashboard to monitor pending shipments.
  • Assist with monthly metrics and quarterly business reports.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement through training, process management, implementing automated solutions and lean procedures.
  • Responds to and supports internal and external audit findings as they relate to trade and import and export classifications and accurate government filing.
  • Determines root cause and corrective actions and coordinates implementation thereof.
