Job summary

The Sicilian Butcher in Nashville is seeking an energetic Expo/Food Runner to join our hospitality-driven team. If you thrive in a lively environment, you’ll help keep service running smoothly and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

As a food expeditor, you will coordinate orders between wait staff and kitchen, ensure correct priority, assist in final prep, check dishes for accuracy, presentation and temperature, and help maintain fast service.

Qualifications

• Must have a current food handlers card or be able to obtain one.
• Must have experience, a positive attitude, be punctual, and be a team player.
• High school diploma; hospitality or related degree is a plus.
• Willing to go the extra mile to satisfy every need of our guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient flow of orders from waiters to the kitchen.
• Ensure orders are prioritized correctly.
• Assist in final preparation of dishes.
• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
• Deliver orders to maintain fast service.
• Eliminate obstacles in service, food prep lines or dishwashing.
• Inspect premises for quality and sanitation; assist in cleaning.
• Transfer information between kitchen and wait staff (special requests).
• Handle client complaints to preserve the restaurant's reputation.
• Support other tasks as needed (e.g., telephone orders).

You must have enough stamina to be in constant motion and skills to coordinate and organize processes and people. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state.
