Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a Production Control Specialist 2 to manage detailed inventory records and systems for high‑risk materials and classified items. The role focuses on HEIDi, CITRAS, M&TE records, and proper documentation for destruction and accountability, with duties as DPR and custodial responsibilities.

The position is on‑site in Los Alamos, NM, with emphasis on accuracy, traceability, and compliance in a demanding research environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with detailed record keeping and organization (inventory, procurement, logs).
• Meticulous attention to detail, organization, and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines and follow procedures.
• Proficiency with business software, computer hardware, and inventory databases.
• Strong dependability and long‑term commitment to duties and program goals.
• Excellent customer service and ability to interact with all staff levels.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
• Knowledge of explosives, sensitive materials, and waste management practices.
• Experience as Designated Procurement Representative using ARIBA and a Purchase Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead LANL High Explosives Inventory Database (HEIDi) account for all HE parts.
• Lead CITRAS account efforts for component inventory tracking and resource allocation.
• Track calibration and records for M&TE equipment.
• Document destruction of classified parts and inventories in CITRAS.
• Serve as the group's precious metals custodian.
• Lead LANL Chemical Inventory (ChemDB).
• Assist with annual property inventory and accountability.
• Assist the group as a Designated Procurement Representative (DPR).
