Job summary

Austin Powder in Ohio is seeking a Booster Operator to safely and efficiently manage manufacturing processes in the Booster Department. You will handle explosive materials, operate specialized equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least 18 years old, a valid driver’s license, and up to 1 year of manufacturing or explosive handling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or explosive handling preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with basic equipment maintenance knowledge.
• Must meet state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive processor.

Responsibilities

• Follow all written work instructions and standard operating procedures related to packaging and handling of explosive products.
• Inspect manufactured products for accuracy and quality.
• Identify and report hazards within the production area.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and area leads to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing vehicles as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the area lead, supervisor, or department manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
