Job summary

PacSci EMC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support production in an explosive-handling environment. The role requires hands-on work, strict safety adherence, and the ability to follow detailed drawings and instructions to assemble inert and energetic materials.

You will work under supervision, weigh materials, set up balances, and participate in continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Training is provided, with overtime possible to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training (OJT) provided.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and press inert and energetic materials.
• Set up and use analytical balance for measurements.
• Perform inert assembly operations.
• Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.
• Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.
• Basic soldering experience welcomed.
• Install sub-assemblies and ensure safe handling of explosive devices.
• Attend offsite/ certification retraining as required (e.g. JSTD).
• Overtime may be required on Fridays and Saturdays.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
