No canine experience is required; paid training is provided. A high school diploma, reliable transportation, and housing for the K9 partner are essential requirements. Competitive hourly pay and stipends are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years in military, law enforcement, or corrections.
• Must own a personal vehicle for K9 transport.
• Must provide housing for K9 partner.
• Willingness to be on-call for incidents and demonstrations.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a trained Explosive Detection K9 to conduct searches at client sites.
• Coordinate with the client security manager, law enforcement, and security personnel.
• Train the Explosive Detection K9 daily, ensuring safety and welfare.
• Follow regulatory protocols and use required technology.
