Job summary

AMERICAN K9 DETECTION SERV LLC is seeking a Handler responsible for screening cargo in compliance with TSA rules. The role requires completing a 4–8 week training and certification prior to mobilization to the assigned location. Pay rates range from $26–$29 per hour, with a Moyock rate of $15 per hour.

The job involves working with a trained canine and may require travel and varying hours. Responsibilities include search training, canine care, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain KTNs/SSIDs within weeks of employment.
• Experience handling explosives detection dogs in operational settings preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CCSP training to search cargo and identify threats.
• Conduct duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and trace detection as needed.
• Perform handler duties while commanding a trained working dog.
• Keep training records up to date.
