Job summary

Thanksgiving Point is seeking a part-time Jurassic Jungle Explorer to welcome and guide guests at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life. You will engage families, support learning experiences, and ensure a safe, enjoyable visit in a lively, five-story playground setting.

Ideal candidates are energetic, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in busy indoor spaces. Requires 16+ with background check; includes benefits and flexible weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and engage visitors of all ages to spark family learning, encourage exploration, and inspire critical thinking.
• Promote the safety and well‑being of guests throughout their Jurassic Jungle experience.
• Assist with guest celebrations in one of our four themed party rooms.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by monitoring the space and assisting guests with compassion.
• Facilitate inquiry‑based learning experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm.
• Work collaboratively and positively with coworkers.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Thanksgiving Point venues and activities and confidently share information with guests.
• Model curiosity and enthusiasm to create positive and memorable guest experiences.
• Welcome and include every guest with kindness and respect.
• Follow all applicable rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
• Represent Thanksgiving Point’s mission, values, and policies through compassion, curiosity, and confidence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a collaborative approach to the workplace and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Comfortable working indoors and in busy, crowded environments.
• Ability to remain patient and engaged in high‑energy, active, and noisy settings.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and can‑do attitude.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and interacting with guests while enforcing safety procedures with compassion, curiosity, and confidence.
• Physical demands may include lifting up to 25 lbs., climbing stairs, bending, standing for extended periods, and manipulating small objects.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
