Barrick Gold Corporation seeks an Exploration Geologist to join Nevada Gold Mines (NGM). The role focuses on geologic research, data compilation, mapping, sampling, and 3D modelling, including drill program design and execution with RC and core logging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field is required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in mining/mineral exploration is required.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and stay organized.
• Familiarity with logging diamond core and RC chips is preferred.
• Familiarity with Leapfrog and Acquire software is preferred.
• Basic understanding of software architecture, data storage concepts, and system development methodologies is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete and supervise geologic research, data compilation, mapping, sampling, geologic interpretation, 3D modelling, drill program design and execution including RC and core logging.
• Projects have clear decision points, are completed on time and on budget, with minimal supervision by senior staff.
• QAQC procedures are in place and adhered to.
• Designs follow-up work plans and assist in annual budget materials.
• Rapidly communicate significant events to senior management.
• Complete monthly progress reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
