Job summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of geologists in identifying, assessing and exploring new targets and areas of interest within the assigned district. Responsibilities:

Lead, train, coach, and mentor geologists; promote a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.

Apply economic and business criteria to evaluate and prioritize exploration opportunities.

Prepare clear, high‑quality technical reports and ensure delivery of geological data to company standards.

Provide technical leadership to define areas of interest and drilling targets.

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to ensure timely project execution.

Participate in annual exploration budget planning and manage project financial performance.

Communicate project objectives, progress, and impacts to internal stakeholders.

Ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained and maintained.

Promote and enforce health, safety, environmental, and risk‑prevention standards.

Ensure compliance with company policies, Code of Conduct, and community relations standards.

Partner with Human Resources on talent management, including recruitment, performance management, and development

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field required

Minimum 10 years of experience in mineral exploration, including field‑based project leadership preferred

Proven experience designing and executing exploration programs from early stage through advanced exploration required

Strong geological modeling, target generation, and drill planning skills required

Demonstrated ability to manage exploration budgets and control costs required

Master’s degree in Geology or a related discipline preferred

Experience working at district or regional scale exploration programs preferred

Familiarity with modern exploration technologies, data systems, and geoinformatics standards preferred

Prior experience in a mining company or large‑scale exploration organization preferred

Experience leading, training, and mentoring geologists and technical teams preferred

Strong technical reporting, data management, and communication skills required

Solid understanding of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in exploration required

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and internal stakeholders required
