Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking an Expert Welder to join our fabrication team in New Mexico. The role focuses on applying FCAW processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair metal parts per blueprints and layouts.
The successful candidate will read weld maps, operate torch, and maintain weld records while upholding safety practices and contributing to continuous improvement. A high school diploma or GED is required, and at least two years of experience is preferred.
Arcosa Wind Towersis looking for an Expert Welder. In this role you will apply appropriate welding processes to join surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. As a professional welder you will use jigs/fixtures to lay-out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. You may also be required to inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and perform minor maintenance to equipment.
1" plate welded with 1/16" FCAW in the 1G position to be UT tested
1" plate welded with 1/16" FCAW in the 3G position for side bends
Proficiently perform welding in the flat position
Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.

Experience: Minimum 2 years verifiable welding experience with 1/16" FCAW groove welds in the flat position
Welders must be able to consistently pass UT inspection on a daily basis
Must be proficient in gouging
Education: High School Diploma or GED
