Jefferson Health is seeking an Expert Software Engineer to sustain and enhance an AI-powered HR service delivery platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Workday integrations. You’ll lead cross‑functional work in AI enablement, integrations, and platform modernization to support Jefferson’s HR transformation.

You will own application enhancements, performance optimization, and incident resolution, while ensuring security and compliance with enterprise

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant software engineering experience with enterprise platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
Experience building AI-enabled experiences and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

The Expert Software Engineer is responsible for providing development, enhancement, operational support, optimization, and long-term sustainment of Jefferson's AI-powered Human Resources Service Delivery platform, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Workday integrations, SharePoint knowledge services, and associated Microsoft cloud technologies. This role directly supports Jefferson's Next Generation HR Transformation strategy and the organization's AI-first vision for employee support services.

Job Duties

Support AI-Enabled Employee Experiences: Maintain and enhance Microsoft Copilot, conversational agent, and self-service capabilities supporting Jefferson employees, HR Operations, and Contact Center teams
Manage Dynamics 365 HR Service Delivery Enhancements: Develop and support case management workflows, routing logic, automation, business rules, reporting, security configurations, and employee service experiences
Support Enterprise Integrations: Maintain integrations with Workday, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot, Genesys telephony, Power Platform, and future enterprise HR technologies
Drive AI Innovation and Optimization: Continuously improve AI-powered employee interactions, knowledge discovery, automation, case management efficiency, and self-service experiences
Own Platform Stability and Lifecycle Management: Provide long-term ownership of application enhancements, support, performance optimization, defect remediation, scalability, and modernization
Ensure Operational Excellence: Keep the solution secure, compliant, reliable, supportable, and aligned with Jefferson's enterprise technology standards
Design scalable and secure software solutions; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems through root-cause analysis
Contribute to cloud-native engineering practices, CI/CD enablement, and automation across the platform.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or
High School Diploma/GED and 10 years preferred work experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Service / Power Platform applications), including configuration and custom development
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Pages, Power Apps) and Copilot Studio for building AI-enabled and self-service experiences
Experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise system integrations (e.g., Workday, SharePoint, Teams
Demonstrated ability to design scalable, secure software solutions and resolve complex technical issues through root-cause analysis
Track record of owning application support, enhancement, and lifecycle management for an enterprise platform in a senior/expert capacity
Roughly 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, or equivalent depth, exact tenure matters less than demonstrated ownership of complex, AI-enabled enterprise platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10 years with a track record of solving complex technical challenges and mentoring engineers.
Direct experience with an HR Service Delivery or HR case management platform (Dynamics 365-based or comparable)
Experience with cloud-native engineering practices, CI/CD, and automation in a Microsoft cloud environment (Azure)
Experience with Microsoft Copilot / conversational AI agent development and optimization
Experience with Workday integrations specifically
Healthcare or other regulated-industry background
Relevant Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure)
Experience supporting enterprise HR transformation, employee experience, or shared-services initiatives

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
