Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health is seeking an Experiential Therapist Intern to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate experiential therapy programs across specialized treatment areas. The role requires knowledge of psychosocial functioning and the use of expressive activities within a psychiatric setting, including adventure-based and environmental activities, arts, music, and psychodrama.

The internship will be tailored with your university collaboration and may include cognitive behavioral therapy

Qualifications

• Enrolled or recently graduated from a BS/BA degree program, preferably in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies.
• Successful completion of Rogers onboarding training coursework is required prior to start.
• Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) is required within sixty (60) days of date of placement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and coordinate experiential programming.
• Complete documentation or treatment according to Rogers policy.
• Establish a therapeutic rapport with patient/resident groups, while maintaining appropriate, professional relationships.
