Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health seeks an Experiential Therapist I in Wisconsin, offering a $1,000 new employee retention bonus. The role develops, plans, and evaluates experiential therapy programming in a psychiatric setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary staff to support patient safety and engagement.

Responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, planning programming, maintaining safe environments, documenting treatment plans, and meeting mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required, preferably in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification/registration through appropriate credentialing board preferred.
• Valid driver license in the state of employment.
• CPR or professional rescue certification within 30 days of hire with annual re-certification.
• Training in management of aggressive patients with annual re-certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiential therapy as scheduled.
• Evaluate, plan and coordinate programming to meet patients'/residents' needs.
• Maintain experiential therapy environments for safety and supplies.
• Be flexible with work assignments, including schedule changes and program additions.
• Have a good working knowledge of a variety of experiential therapies.
• Complete a treatment plan and evaluation according to Rogers policy.
• Complete therapeutic documentation according to Rogers policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of psychosocial functioning of patient/resident groups and apply related treatment procedures.
