Job summary

Gowithlive is seeking a Corporate Events Set Designer to oversee the conceptualization, design, and development of scenic environments and trade show displays that advance new business and ongoing client projects.

You will collaborate with the creative team and coordinate with sales, production, and technical staff to ensure visuals are compelling and functional, integrating A/V technology with staging elements. A strong portfolio and proficiency in SketchUp/Vectorworks are required.

Qualifications

• Conceptualize, design, and develop scenic environments for events and trade shows.
• Collaborate with creative, sales, production, and technical staff to meet client needs.
• Translate client objectives into innovative scenic solutions with attention to feasibility and budget.
• Communicate design concepts to clients and production teams using sketches or 3D renderings.
• Design within event parameters including budgets, schedules, and venue specifications.
• Utilize 3D modeling tools to create renders and visualizations for review.
• Participate in onsite event execution to ensure design integrity and quality.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication across all levels of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative team to translate client needs into scenic concepts.
• Develop multiple design solutions leveraging existing inventory and new ideas.
• Coordinate with lighting, audio, video, staging, and rigging for compatibility.
• Articulate and defend your design vision to stakeholders to drive buy-in.
• Create sketches or digital models to express ideas to clients and teams.
• Plan designs within budgets, timelines, and venue constraints.
• Support onsite execution with production and technical staff as needed.
• Communicate effectively across teams and leadership.
