Responsibilities

• Operate the flat laser.

• Move torch head to correct cutting position.
• Load and unload metal sheets as needed.
• Grind parts as required.
• Inspect parts and assess quality.
• Work independently and with others on projects.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers.

Essential Functions:

• 1. Operate the flat laser.
• 2. Load sheets in the computer from the scheduler.
• 3. Verifies for proper dimensions and operation of the laser cutter, and monitors for correct cut condition.
• 4. Move torch head to proper place for correct cutting.
• 5. Load and unload metal sheets as needed.
• 6. Grind parts as needed.
• 7. Performs inspection of parts; evaluates work to determine if it is high quality/acceptable.
• 8. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
• 9. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• 10. Communicates to co-workers and other team members in an effective way.
