Respected, boutique workers’ compensation law firm is seeking an experienced workers' comp attorney to run our Civilian Team. The team has two legal assistants, an intake assistant and a current caseload of approximately 300 files.


We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional, well-run office while simultaneously promoting close-knit relationships between our attorneys. The right addition to our team will be a hard-working, dedicated individual who can work well with our staff andtheir fellow attorneys. Please provide both your resume and a brief cover letter that outlines your interest in joining our firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Review client files and work with the legal assistant to move the case forward
  • Review medical reports to assess next steps, rate injuries and prepare for settlement
  • Attend hearings, trials and depositions
  • Contact clients to discuss case status and/or outcome of hearings or trials
  • Work within a team to help move cases to a conclusion

Qualifications:

  • Juris doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited university
  • Admission to the California State Bar
  • Interest in running a team and representing civilians
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Comfortable working in a face paced environment
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to “self-start” and solve problems
  • Spanish is a plus
