Job summary

BWise Manufacturing in Chambersburg, PA is seeking an experienced welder to lay out, fit, and weld metal components for beds, frames, and related assemblies. This position requires strict attention to drawings, tolerances, and safety standards.

You will read and interpret drawings, set up layouts, weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, and inspect welds for quality and conformance. The role includes PPE use, tool handling, and adhering to BWise safety procedures on a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• On-the-job welding training or certification accepted.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and basics of metallurgy helpful.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operation.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts for welding.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions with appropriate PPE.
• Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, or distortion; inspect welds for quality.
