Chatsworth Products is seeking an Experienced Welder on the Second Shift in Simi Valley, CA. The role involves setting up and operating welding equipment to manufacture metal cabinets, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, planning procedures, inspecting parts and equipment, and performing various welding tasks on sheet metal. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work extended hours is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding experience or welding certificate required.
• Sheet metal production welding experience preferred.
• Must pass welding test.
• Able to read blueprints and engineering specs.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates welding equipment to fabricate metal cabinets.
• Plans work procedures, tools, and material needs.
• Inspects and maintains equipment for safety.
• Inspects welded parts per procedure and ensures specs.
• Welds sheet metal in various positions.
• Prepares surfaces and uses cutting torch to size material.
• Builds up worn surfaces.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Works from blueprints and production schedules.
• Assists other areas after welding operations.
