Starting pay rate up to $31+/hr

How you will contribute

Valmont is seeking a highly motivated and talented experienced Welder. You will weld metal components to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing, arc, and gas welding equipment. Your responsibilities include:

• Fusing or welding metal structural components for steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures
• Performing welding operations based on blueprints or specifications with minimal planning
• Maintaining and operating welding equipment and production tooling safely
• Operating other shop machines as needed

Required Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on welding experience in a professional environment
• Ability to pass welding tests and assessments
• Weld certification to meet AWS, CWB, and other customer standards in GMAW welding
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications accurately
• Knowledge of weld quality, penetration, and appearance standards
• Proficiency in measuring with tape

Highly Qualified

• Over 3 years of welding experience in a professional setting
• Two years of manufacturing or fabrication experience
• AWS welding certification from a recognized institution
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills
• Passion, integrity, and drive to excel
