Job summary

Mason Manufacturing & Fabrication is seeking a skilled welder for our Decatur, IL facility. You will perform welding to customer specs and applicable codes, with emphasis on flux-core and back-gouging, while maintaining safety and documentation.

Team-oriented and punctual applicants with vessel fabrication experience are preferred. The role reports to the Director of Operations and offers full-time benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vessel fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Teamwork and dependable punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Welding to conform to customer requirements and specifications.
• Efficient flux-core welding with emphasis on back-gouging.
• Follow safety regulations and keep work area clean.
• Keep accurate labor records and complete documentation timely.
• Maintain and care for company tools.
• Coordinate daily work with Plant Foreman and Assigned Fitter.
• Interface with Quality Control Manager and inspectors as needed.
• Operate with limited supervision to meet schedules and quality.
