K&R Staffing HR Consulting LLC is seeking an Experienced Weld Grinder for a full-time role in Mobile, AL. You will grind, finish, and inspect welded components for high-quality architectural doors, frames, hardware, and specialty metal products.

The position requires reading blueprints, using grinders, and collaborating with welding/fabrication teams. Overtime and a steady, long-term environment are offered in a robust manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a weld grinder, metal finisher, or fabrication technician.
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, or architectural metal products preferred.
• Ability to use angle grinders, die grinders, flap wheels, and finishing tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and basic fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Grind, smooth, and finish welded metal components to meet quality standards.
• Remove excess weld material, slag, and imperfections using hand and power grinders.
• Blend welds to create seamless, professional finishes on steel products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and cosmetic appearance.
• Safely operate grinders, sanders, and other fabrication tools.
• Work closely with welders and fabrication teams to ensure production deadlines are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
